PROJECT DREAMER
Chicken Farm Project
Economic Improvement Pillar - completed and sustaining
In collaboration with our local dreamer, Matt, Village Reach implemented a chicken farm project in Paraolon village, India. Aimed at alleviating economic hardships for six families, the initiative equips them with essential infrastructure such as transport cages, coops, water troughs, feed troughs, and vitamins for the chickens. This holistic approach ensures families can raise and sell chickens as a sustainable way to improve their finances.
Beyond financial benefits, the project also guarantees access to fresh eggs and meat for sustenance, enhancing their nutritional security and overall well-being. With the average daily income in the village at just $4.90 USD, running a mini chicken farm not only supplements their income by $3.60 USD per day but also provides hope in a place still ravaged by civil war and ongoing Christian persecution.
Mini Market Project
Economic Improvement Pillar - in progress
In India, our second project, led by Matt's inspired vision, aims to establish a village market. This ambitious endeavor seeks to create economic opportunity while addressing the logistical challenges faced by villagers, who often must travel long distances through conflict zones to access essential goods and services. Given the village's status as an active war zone, safety and convenience are paramount considerations. By reducing travel times and providing essential goods and opportunities close to home, the market becomes a lifeline for the community. Moreover, investing in real estate and building infrastructure serves a dual purpose, not only providing a marketplace but also enhancing the village's long-term resilience and stability. Through this initiative, Village Reach continues to empower communities, demonstrating that transformative change is within reach when we invest in local dreams and aspirations.
