We’re Still Searching: U.S. Dreamer Needed!
Our search continues for the next Dreamer right here in the U.S. We’re looking for someone with a heart to serve their community and a dream to create positive change.
Do you know someone who sees a need in their city, school, or neighborhood—and wants to do something about it?
Help us find them. Let’s discover where in the U.S. God is calling us next.
Send us your leads, share this opportunity, and let’s find our next Dreamer together.
Dreamer Updates Around the World
Colombia: Eyson & Karson
This month in Colombia, Eyson and Karson are asking for prayer—especially for the youth they walk with each day.
“We have found out about three kids in the last week that have been self-harming,” they share. “We pray for them, their families, and guidance for us to help in whatever way God leads.”
They also share a praise: a few teens have recently stepped up into leadership!
Please also pray as they prepare for their Easter programs—a joyful and meaningful time of year—and continue planning their upcoming youth retreat.
Cambodia: Vuthy
This month marks the Khmer New Year, one of the biggest and most joyful celebrations in Cambodia. Festivities began on April 10th and continue through April 16th, filling the streets with celebration, laughter, and community. People participate in playful water gun and baby powder fights, a symbolic way of washing away the old year and welcoming the new.
Vuthy is launching new ministry efforts this month in Cambodia and asks for your prayers. Specifically he is helping to pioneer a new YWAM Base in Kampot!
Please pray for financial provision for the YDC staff, as they are currently in great need and trusting God to provide. Despite the challenges, YDC Chhuk has continued to run its regular programming faithfully.
As part of the New Year celebrations, Vuthy and his team also hosted a Songkran program at the YDC, right in front of the two new classrooms recently built. The event featured a singing contest with a lively and supportive audience, enthusiastic judges, and some incredibly talented contestants.

In addition, they held a soccer tournament through the Soccer Ministry program—a huge success that brought the community together for some friendly competition.
On April 10th, YDC hosted a youth soccer tournament with neighboring Christian schools
Our Mission Communications Lead, Alyssa, is currently in Cambodia, observing the culture and the color of the new year festivities. Living in the city center of Kampot, she is joining in the fun—and getting soaked!
As people across Cambodia seek blessings for the new year, let’s pray they would come to know Jesus, the light of the world.
On April 21st, the YDC will reopen after the Khmer New Year break and a new semester will begin.
India: Mathew
Mathew brings encouraging news from India:
“Praise God for the completion of the building (Manna Mart)! We are just a step away to run the market.”
This month, Mathew received the final funds needed to stock the market—a huge answer to prayer! He also received funds from our Blessing Baskets fundraiser, and the team is soon to distribute those baskets to families in need. They are so excited to begin sharing these gifts of love.
We will be sending updates to our Blessing Baskets donors soon, with photos and impact reports.
Please continue praying for Mathew’s family, especially his father who is undergoing kidney dialysis. Mathew writes, “We need a miraculous healing from the Lord.”
Katlyn’s Update From Home
Katlyn, our co-founder and operator, shares a few personal and missional updates from Lexington, KY:
Prayer request: “Just my momma heart as I mentally prepare to leave Zealand for our Colombia trip in a couple months. I’ve never spent the night away from him & I know it’ll be so hard on me! Also, pray for our upcoming trivia night fundraiser—for a great turnout & just a fun night for everyone who attends.”
Praise: After a tough season, their baby boy, Zealand, is now sleeping through the night and completely past his colic phase. Katlyn says, “We feel like new parents & new people! I can see some of my old self coming out. It’s so wonderful being a mom, but it’s even better being a mom who gets 8 hours of sleep every night.”
Katlyn and her family are starting their first garden at their new home! With an acre of land, there’s plenty of space for gardening, picnics, and little feet to run around.
Exciting Milestone: Candid GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency!
We are thrilled to share that Village Reach has received the Candid GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency! This is an incredible milestone for our organization, as it officially recognizes our commitment to transparency, accountability, and our mission of supporting Dreamers.
As a result of receiving this prestigious recognition, we now have free access to the Foundation Directory Online, a $500 annual value. This powerful resource will help us find and apply for grants that will allow us to grow and continue our work in new, exciting ways. We’re looking forward to seeing what God will do with this opportunity in 2025 and beyond!
First Advisory Board Meeting
This week, we are having our first-ever Advisory Board meeting! We’ve gathered a small group of trusted advisors—accomplished business leaders, seasoned professionals, and mission-minded innovators—who bring both strategic insight and deep alignment with our vision. Their experience and counsel are helping us explore meaningful ways to grow and scale our work.
We’re so excited for this meeting and the direction it will help us take as we continue to serve our Dreamers and honor God’s work in all we do.
Stretch Goal for 2025: $100,000
As we continue to build on our momentum this year, our stretch goal for 2025 is $100,000, and our regular goal is $75,000. This is our largest goal yet, and we’re going to need all hands on deck to help us reach it.
We are so thankful for every single one of our supporters, whether you’re silent or engaged, whether you’ve given once or you’re giving monthly, whether you’re a charity runner or an ambassador, a friend or a family member, a business partner, or an Instagram follower. We are grateful for you.
We want to challenge you to think about how you can take your support up one level. Whether it’s through more consistent giving, sharing our cause with friends, or getting more involved in our events and initiatives, we need you more than ever this year.
Let’s continue to serve, dream, and do together.
